I’m working on a reframe.
A few months ago I came across a speaker competition opportunity and I completely dismissed it before I even had a chance to think about it.
Have you ever done that before? Squash something before you even truly evaluated it?
I hate competitions and I hate losing. I certainly don’t look at my speaking career as a competitive sport, so I deleted the email immediately. NEXT.
But then, weeks later I woke up in the middle of the night and looked at my emails (total bad habit). And there it was … the competition opportunity once again in my inbox.
Only this time I stopped.
I said WHY NOT?
Why not put my hat in the ring?
Why not look at this as an opportunity to hone my craft?
Why not see it as a personal growth opportunity?
So here I am… working on my 5 minute story.
I tell my clients all the time …What’s there to lose?
How else can you frame this that serves you?
What script are you gonna flip today?
